Anemia is a condition in which you don't have enough healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen to tissues

  • Iron deficiency anemia: When iron levels are too low
  • Vitamin B-12 deficiency: When the body is not able to absorb vitamin B12 properly
  • Chronic lead poisoning: Many chronic diseases that can disrupt the body's ability to produce red blood cells
  • Hemolytic anemia: Red blood cells being destroyed faster than the bone marrow can produce
