Colorectal cancer is a malignant tumor that starts in cells of the colon, the lower part of your digestive system

  • Adenocarcinomas: Start in cells that form glands that make mucus to lubricate the inside of the colon and rectum
  • Carcinoid tumors: Grow in hormone producing tissues, usually in the digestive system
  • Lymphomas: Start somewhere else in the body are more likely to spread to the colon than to the rectum
  • Sarcomas: Start in blood vessels as well as in muscle and connective tissue in the wall of the colon and rectum
  • Gastrointestinal stromal tumors: Start from cells in the wall of the colons
  • Family history
  • Age greater than 50
  • Consumption of alcohol
  • Inflammation of bowel
  • Bleeding with stool
  • Change in usual bowel habit
  • Weakness
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Pain in abdomen
  • Eat food that is high in calories and protein
  • You can eat broccolis, sweet potatoes, yogurt
  • You can eat white pasta and bread, cream crackers, rich tea biscuits, cornflakes
  • Avoid alcohol, smoking
  • Green tea is beneficial
  • Ashwagandha, Aloe vera are useful
  • Ginger root, Turmeric are effective
