- Open-angle glaucoma: This develops slowly so that any damage to the optic nerve and loss of sight are gradual.
- Primary acute closed-angle glaucoma: Results from a buildup of fluid in the eye because the distance between the iris and the drainage system has been closed
- Secondary Glaucoma: Caused by various conditions which can cause a rise in eye pressure
- Optic nerve damage
- Drainage angle in the eye closes or becomes blocked
- Tobacco, smoking
- Variety of medical conditions, medications, physical injuries
- Reduced blood supply to the optic nerve
- Difficulty focusing on near or distant objects
- Double vision

- Eat food that includes vitamin C and vitamin E

- Grind some Almond kernels and Kali Mirch (Peppercorns) with water and filter and take it. It is very useful foe eye diseases
- Take amla with honey
- Triphala is one of the best eye cleansers
- Tea made with Punarnava leaves is very beneficial
